Kinderkill

Kinderkill is a sound piece with an MP3 player and speakers hidden inside a fake electrical outlet in the gallery wall. The sound plays softly, just loud enough to draw the listener closer to hear the voice of a character luring children in, encouraging them to stick their tongues into the socket.  This work was originally created in 1999 for Minty, curated by Bruce Hainley at Richard Telles Fine Art in Los Angeles. In 2019, for My Head is a Haunted House, curated by Charlie Fox at Sadie Coles HQ in London, Kinderkill was updated and expanded to two separate characters: UPPY and Hi!.
