CULT OF CLAUDE

I formed a cult surrounding a character that I became (an enlightened 12 year old girl with her dog, "The Embodiment") during the duration of the cult's existence and the single sentence, "God will come to you when you have made yourself so beautiful that she can no longer resist you." I staged one-on-one performance/interviews with artists that I was interested in and who, in turn; I wanted to be worshiped by. I convinced 30 artists to become members of the Cult of Claude and asked each member to make a piece for CofC group show and performance series. I also made a video during that time documenting a secret cult ritual, which I performed in the basement of the gallery.
